JOB DUTIES:

The successful candidate will be a high energy "channel educator" with solid field sales experience. Regional Sales Manager's primary objective is to grow the dealer network through training, education and support, and build a scalable sales and education function to support the growth objectives of the company. In addition, the selected candidate must be intelligent, process-oriented, metrics driven, and use reporting tools to communicate progress, justify actions and measure success. The ability to work effectively with other internal groups (engineering, manufacturing, customer support) to resolve problems in field sales related to channel or customers is an important job requirement.

The Regional Sales Manager must develop and promote a regional sales team that is competent at evangelizing Kaleidescape's products and services and educating a variety of third parties, including dealers, installers, designers, architects, relevant partners, associations and end users. To increase awareness of the product experience, the candidate must be effective at implementing ongoing internal/external training and education programs, including dealer and customer events.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ethics, humility, integrity, high level intelligence, and accountability.
  • Experience in evangelizing consumer electronics and technology-related "new-to-the-world" products through educating, training and supporting the dealer base and other channels.
  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years experience in managing indirect/channel field sales.
  • Demonstrable experience exceeding aggressive revenue/growth targets
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), presentation and organization skills.
  • Experience designing and implementing metric-based sales strategies and processes, including frequent reporting, with attention to detail and high quality output.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated success hiring, managing, educating and developing a sales team.
  • Team oriented with the ability to build teams and instill them with spirit, enthusiasm and teamwork.
  • Participative management style – leads by example, strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Accessible and responsive – up, down and across the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and a logical approach to problem solving. Able to convert thoughts and ideas to proposals and presentations. A true problem solver.
  • Ability to accomplish things efficiently, with out a lot of resources, with good corporate responsibility for budgets, resources and personnel.
  • Highly effective within a very collaborative environment, ability to facilitate group decision making with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Participate in dealer meetings; establish relationships with key decision makers and senior level contacts within assigned dealer base.
  • Reviewing, managing and growing existing accounts.
  • A high degree of intellectual curiosity.
  • Willingness/ability to travel up 75% of the time.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Computer Sciences or a related field a plus
  • Combination of large/small company experience, including minimum 5 years hands-on experience scaling the field operations functions in a rapid growth environment.
